Places of Interest

A good point of departure to know Albarracín is its beautiful and irregular Main Square (Plaza Mayor). There you will find the city council, famous fot its U shape.

Another sample of civil architecture in Albarracín is the Casa de la Comunidad (Community House), where you will appreciate its ashlar door and its wrought-iron grille.

The cathedral street begins in the Main Square. It is one of the most important streets in the city and it leads us to 2 unavoidable visits: the Cathedral of the Saviour (Catedral del Salvador) and the Episcopal Palace (Palacio Episcopal). The cathedral preserves many religious images and its high altar is considered to be a master piece of the Aragonese art.

Next to the Seo, you will find the Episcopal Palace which keeps intact the magnificence of the 17th century. Its baroque façade is carved from stone. Inside, the Diocesan museum has an interesting collection of Flemish tapestry and pieces of great value.
